Trusted by homeowners across Edina for quality window replacement and installation
Edina blends historic character with modern comfort, from the 1920s and 1930s homes of the Country Club District to newer houses near Centennial Lakes Park and the France Avenue corridor. Original wood windows in the older sections of the city often need careful, historically sensitive replacement, while homes built in later decades tend to have builder-grade windows that no longer keep up with Minnesota winters.
Beissel Window & Siding, a family-owned and operated company, has spent 75+ years helping Twin Cities homeowners choose windows that fit their house, and Edina is no exception. Whether your windows are drafty, foggy, or simply outdated, our team helps you find an option that works for your home and your budget.

Energy-Efficient Fiberglass and Vinyl
Our fiberglass and vinyl selections are specifically designed to help protect your home from extreme temperature shifts and high humidity.
As an Authorized Replacement Contractor for Marvin®, a fellow Minnesota-based manufacturer, we offer the Marvin Elevate® and Essential® lines. These fiberglass options provide incredible strength and slim profiles that occupy a smaller footprint while maximizing your view.
For those seeking premium vinyl, Sunrise Windows® offer excellent thermal performance. The advanced technology used in Sunrise Windows® can help save you money on utility costs.
Storm Window Installation
Mon-Ray storm windows are known for time-tested durability, offering style and strength that enhance aesthetics and performance. The Mon-Ray 500 series has a historic look, making it one of the only storm windows approved by local historic preservation organizations, a detail many Edina homeowners in older neighborhoods appreciate.
Egress and Specialty Window Solutions
We install Sunrise® and Glassblock egress windows to help ensure safety and compliance for your house. These installations allow natural light to permeate your lower-level living space while meeting all local Edina building codes.

Local Window Challenges for Edina Homeowners
Homes in Edina’s Country Club District were built nearly a century ago, and many still carry their original wood windows, which often need repairs that respect the neighborhood’s historic character rather than a simple swap to modern materials. Closer to Southdale Center and the Fifty & France shopping district, mid-century houses commonly have single-pane or early double-pane windows that struggle against Minnesota’s temperature swings. Replacing these windows before winter helps keep your house comfortable and can ease strain on your heating system.
Frequent Questions About Siding
If you notice drafts, condensation between panes, or difficulty opening and closing your windows, it is likely time for an update. Older windows in St. Paul often suffer from seal failure due to age and extreme weather.
Yes. We have worked extensively in St. Paul heritage districts and can help you select styles that preserve the original character of your house while offering modern durability.
While the timeline depends on the number of windows, most installations are completed within one to three days. We prioritize a clean workspace and minimal disruption to your daily routine.
Yes. Beissel Window & Siding is a Lead-Safe Certified EPA firm. This is especially important for the many homes in St. Paul built before 1978 to ensure the safety of your family during the renovation process.
“We had Beissel replace our original windows and cover our sills and brickmolds with tin recently. We are very happy with the new windows as well as the professionalism of everyone, from the salesman to the installers at Beissel.”
